After many, many months of planning, the brand new Mel Mellers Project "MODERN MARVEL" is finally ready! This is probably our most anticipated release ever following on from the huge success of his previous DVDs "Tickling The Mind - Volumes 1 & 2" and "Undiscovered Wonder".
These DVD cemented Mel's reputation as one of the finest comedy magicians working today. Taking standard effects, he adds some hilarious plots and storylines to give them a whole new life and presentation. This brand new two Volume set runs at over three hours in total and features seven brand new routines on each DVD. All of the material is perfect for Cabaret, Comedy and Kid's Show magicians that are looking for something that's fresh and new.
Volume 1 shows Mel at several live shows and along the way be amazed and above all amused, as he performs a 6 Card Repeat in a truly international way, a feat of number manipulation despite overriding distraction, a Plume routine that gets huge laughs, an underwater escape that has no water (!), a superb mindreading stunt in which he predicts a genuinely random set of numbers, manipulates his own eyeball, vanishes and reappears a borrowed watch and for his grand finale uses a flea and a feather (don't ask!). Volume 2 once again takes you on the road with Mel Mellers and again watch as Mel wins $20.00 in his opening routine, tells the audience just what they're missing on TV, cuts an audience members hand off with hilarious results, reads 6 spectators drawings using his knowledge of body language, takes a short break to show you a Wee Little Trick, teaches the audience how to solve their own problems and finds a freely chosen card with hilarious results. The brand new James Brown DVDs "PROFESSIONAL OPPORTUNIST' have already proved to be a huge hit and one of our best-sellers ever! This 2 Volume DVD set features some groundbreaking magic that combines magic and pseudo-hynosis. All of the performances were shot at the Illusions Magic Bar in Bristol, England on a regular Saturday night and you'll be able to see just hot great the routines play to real people.
Volume 1 features 6 routines using nothing more than a regular deck of playing cards. NEWS FOR MAY 2009 is that we're just in the final stages of production for a brand new 2 DVD set from magician Mark James called "Supercharged Classics".. He may not be a name known to some of you, but over recent years Mark has worked with Mark Mason at J.B Magic and under his guidance become a very successful close-up performer. His magic is direct, to the point and always gets amazing reactions. On these DVDs Mark teaches you 11 brilliant routines that will stun all audiences, but most importantly he'll also explain just how he builds his magic to get these responses. As usual, we've shot these effects in a bar, performed for people in a real venue, so that you can see for yourself just how these routines really play out. At he last Blackpool Convention we released two brand new products. One a DVD and the other a trick that was requested by many customers that had brought the James Prince "Menu of Miracles" DVD set when it was released a few months ago.
The trick is the "Ring In Pepper-Pot" and was featured on "Menu of Miracles Vol.1". Although instructions on how to make your own prop were on the DVD, we had many, many people that asked if we were going to release the actual prop ourselves. After many months spent twisting James' arm, we finally managed to get him to let us make up a limited number for sale. Each unit is hand gimmicked and beautifully constructed to work perfectly every time, allowing the performer to concentrate on the presentation. The second product was a brand new DVD by a talented magician called Mark Southworth. Some of you may know Mark as the creator of the incredible "Shoet' effect, which has to be the ultimate Card in Show routine. There is no 'filler' on this DVD and all of the routines Mark does use in his daily close up shows. Featured is his amazing new routine called "Blockbuster" which is an effect that is explained in intricate detail on the DVD.
